The 411 on the New 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Tue, Aug 16, 2016 @ 08:11 PM

It's finally here! The 2017 Ridgeline has made its official debut at Honda East and boy, are we impressed. This truck shatters all preconceived notions you may have about trucks and really steps up the game. If you're wondering just how, we're about to tell you! Stay tuned as we overview this game changer of a truck – the 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati!

A Phenomenal Truck Bed

Honda made a seemingly unchangeable detail of trucks the star feature. Think of it as a "smart bed" – "From off-road toys to 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood, the bed of the Ridgeline was designed with minimal wheel well housings in order to maximize hauling capabilities." Simple enough, right? The actual tailgate itself if smart too, opening multi-way unlike traditional tailgates. You are able to open the truck bed like a door or like a regular tailgate. Honda has also invented a solution to the low-storage problem with the In-Bed Trunk® that allows you to store items securely in the 7.3 cubic feet space located in the bed, and lock it, too. It even comes equipped with a drain plug so you can use it as an ice chest! We could go on about the truck bed's other cool features like the Truck Bed Audio System, but we need to keep moving so let's talk about the interior.

Innovative Interior

The interior of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline has an available 8-inch display, push start button, one-touch power moonroof, Bluetooth connectivity, 4.2'' multi-information display, and a center console that's big enough for a 10-inch tablet, just to name a few. There's seating for up to five adults comfortably, but if you are only seating 2 or 3 people, the seats are 60/40 lift-up rear seats to make room for extra storage. For the couple that is constantly switching who drives, you'll love the memory seat that has driver memory settings for up to two people.

Just when you think this truck can't get any better, you find out about the power capabilities. A Look at the History of the Best Selling Car in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, Jul 06, 2016 @ 06:26 PM

America's top selling car, the Honda Accord, is a household name. The Accord first made its debut in 1976 and has been America's best selling car for the last 4 decades. It has consistently and fervently keeps up with the ever-changing auto industry with flying colors, and the sales show that it is able to adapt to any auto climate. It's practical, it's fun, it's the Honda Accord! Today as the 2017 model year makes is way to the Honda East lot, we want to celebrate the Honda Accord's accomplishments the prior 40 years.

"Over 40 years and nine generations, Accord has consistently set the benchmark for the U.S. auto industry, earning the trust of more American car buyers than any other car during that period – with sales of more than 12.7 million Accords, the vast majority produced in Honda's U.S. plants. Through continuous improvement and innovation, Accord has earned a reputation as a segment-defining product, delivering class-leading reliability and durability with outstanding fuel efficiency and low emissions – along with refined and responsive driving dynamics and top-class safety performance."

 _GHS6210.jpg

Did you know the Accord started out as a hatchback? Just when you thought the only hatchback around in the 70s was the station wagon, the Accord was trucking along right behind it. The Accord was the first Honda model to be manufactured in America and today Honda has produced more than 10.7 million Accords in North America total.

 Screen_Shot_2016-07-06_at_1.25.36_PM.png

One of the things that really makes the Accord popular to a wide-range of consumers is the safety measures it implements. The Accord has been named a Car and Driver "10Best" for the incredible record of 30 times. What an honor! It is the only vehicle of its class to have achieved this recognition 30 times, and is virtually unmatched. The Accord was one of the first of the newest Honda lineup to have Honda Sensing, which is a suite of advanced safety and driver-assisted technologies. These extra safety features really go the extra mile to prevent or even lessen collision, if they should occur.

So, happy 40th anniversary, Honda Accord! It has come such a long way and we look forward to years to come. 40 years strong and still impressing us! Honda East invites you to sign up for a test drive of the 2016 and 2017 Honda Accord models –drive the best selling car in Cincinnati, drive the Honda Accord!

Awaiting the 2017 Honda CR-V in Cincinnati!

Posted by Jessica McFall on Thu, Jun 16, 2016 @ 03:02 PM

You may have heard a few rumors about the highly anticipated 2017 Honda CR-V in Cincinnati, and curious about what the new CR-V has in store. Although not everything is unveiled yet, Honda East has some new details about this new crossover SUV and we're happy to fill you in with the latest!

The Honda CR-V has been in production since 1995, gaining popularity from the beginning and constantly receiving upgrades every year. It's the perfect middle ground between the larger Honda Pilot and the smaller HR-V, or as baby bear would say, "Just right!" And you're not alone if you are a current CR-V owner as it boasts the title of best selling SUV in North America for 2015.

 2017_Honda_CR-V_in_Cincinnati.jpg

This new 2017 CR-V is said to be one of the largest improvements it has ever experienced, largely in part because of the additional 3rd row it will be receiving! That's right, the CR-V is ready to compete with the three row SUVs like the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and other 7-seaters. But how will the 3rd row fit in? Honda is going to increase the wheelbase by 80 mm and the overall vehicle length by 50 mm to make this a comfortable change.

There are other things said to be getting a facelift including exterior changes like the headlights, fog lights, grille and front fascia. All of these small changes will contribute to an overall more 'sophisticated' look, allowing the 2017 CR-V to compete with higher end SUVs like the Land Rover Discovery. The interior could look drastically different with a much roomier space, offering more comfort and possible upgraded upholstery.

We found information about power from newcarmodels2017.com : "One option should be enhanced version of 2.4 liter naturally aspirated engine which is already exploited in this model and currently delivers 185 horsepower. Also sourced from Civic model a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine could be another solution for new CR-V model. It will potentially improve fuel efficiency ratings and provide better acceleration. It produces 174 HP and 163 pound-feet torque in the Civic and higher ratings are expected for CRV model. Some sources also claim that Honda will offer hybrid powertrain version which will include 2.0 liter for cylinder engine backed up with two or even three electric motors."

2017_Honda_CR-V_in_Cincinnati_OH.jpg

The rumors are that the new 2017 Honda CR-V in Cincinnati will debut towards the latter part of 2017, which seems like a long time but it would be worth the wait in our opinion! However, if you just can't wait to get your hands on a new Honda, check out our current 2016 Honda CR-V models, which are flying off of the Honda East lot every day! Hope to see you soon!

2016 Dart vs. 2016 Civic in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Mon, Jun 06, 2016 @ 04:35 PM

You've found yourself on the Honda East blog because you're exploring options for your next new car! The decision to buy a new car is a lot bigger than deciding what you're going to have for lunch today, so it should require a little more consideration and time. Lucky for you, we love educating our customers on new cars, and today is no different! We're looking at the good, bad and ugly of the 2016 Dart and the 2016 Civic in a quest to find out which one comes out on top. Let's go!

Fuel Economy

If fuel economy and efficiency is important to you, it's safer to go with the Honda Civic in Waco. Both the Civic and Dart have 2.0 4. Cylinder/Manual transmissions in the most basic mode, but the Civic gets 27 city/40 hwy MPG while the Dart only gets 25 city/36 hwy MPG*. In addition to better fuel efficiency, the Civic doesn't require premium gas like the Dart, which can save you 20-55 cents/gallon.

Safety

The 2016 Civic in San Antonio has a few more safety features than the 2016 Dodge Dart. For example, the Civic has vehicle speed sensors and seat sensors that alert the smart airbags in the Civic to deploy with different levels of force to protect passengers of different sizes. The Dart's airbags deploy at full force every time. The Civic also has optional Collision Mitigation Braking System and a lane departure warning system. The Dart doesn't have either of these as an option. Both vehicles have standard driver, passenger, side-impact, and side-impact head airbags.

Passenger and Cargo Space

Worried about space in a "compact car"? The Civic doesn't feel so compact with 39.3 inches of headroom in the front, and 37.1 in the rear seating area! Holding 5 passengers, the Civic has 97.8 cubic feet of cargo room and 15.1 cubic feet of cargo room. The Dart only has 13.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and its passenger volume is unlisted (which we can only assume means that it doesn't compare).

Misc. Features

We've said it before and we'll say it again – not all cars are created equal even if they are the same model year! In this case, the Civic is way ahead of the game in terms of technology and features. The Civic has front power windows, standards power locks (which the Dart has, but costs extra), standard power remote mirrors, standard Bluetooth wireless, standard HondaLink, available front heated seats, and so much more.

With better space, safety features, fuel efficiency and features, you can't beat the 2016 Civic in Cincinnati. The Jetta has some great offerings, but it just can't stand a chance next to the new Civic! Receive top customer service and test drive this new and improved Civic at Honda East today!

Details About the 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, May 25, 2016 @ 08:11 PM

2017_Honda_Ridgeline_in_Cincinnati.jpg

It's almost here! The revamped, new 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati is coming very soon. This next generation truck, that has the structure of the Pilot crossover with hints of the next generation Odyssey, is breaking all conventional truck standards. Sturdier, stronger and more powerful than the previous generation Ridgeline, new features are employed to make your driving experience the best yet. Let's dive into what we can expect in the 2017 Ridgeline at Honda East!

2017_Ridgeline_in_Cincinnati_Bed_Speakers.png

If you're an experienced truck-owner, you've probably at least one time in your life parked your car outside with friends, sat on the tailgate and blared music through the cabin. But today we're here to tell you that there's a better way to jam out with your truck – through the truck-bed! The 2017 Ridgeline comes equipped with a class-exclusive audio system. "Exciters" are mounted behind the side of the truck bed and they are water/impact proof so you can jam out in any type of weather!

 2017_Ridgeline_in_Cincinnati_Dual_Action_Tailgate.png

The next thing we're about to talk about is one of our favorites – the dual-action tailgate. How can a tailgate be dual action, you ask? Not only does it fold down like a traditional tailgate, it also opens sideways, like a door. This makes pulling large items in and out of the truck bed that much easier! This is the only truck on the market that has this feature, so you should be "dually" impressed.

2017_Ridgeline_in_Cincinnati_In-bed_trunk.png

While we're still on the topic of the truck bed, might we mention the extra storage compartment located underneath the truck bed? When you transport items to and fro in your truck bed, some concerns of them flying out or being stolen are frequent. With the 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati, you're able to not only store small or valuable items in the in-bed trunk, but you are able to lock it, too!

 2017_Ridgeline_in_Cincinnati_Interior.png

Lastly, we want to highlight the versatile rear seat that the inside of the truck has available. Fold up, fold down, store bikes, groceries, electronics, dogs, whatever fits your fancy! You definitely have more than enough room. The cabin itself has generous room for passengers, too, so you could comfortably seat up to 5 people.

Those are the key features and specific items to expect in the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Cincinnati! We can't wait until it arrives at Honda East Cincy, and we know that you can't wait either. Stay tuned for updates, or shop around our site for current Honda models!

Sneak Peek of the 2017 Civic Hatchback in Cincinnati OH

Posted by Jessica McFall on Tue, Apr 05, 2016 @ 02:31 PM

So, you're interested in hearing more about the newly unveiled prototype of the all-new 2017 Civic Hatchback? You should be excited because this is a car that combines the functionality of a hatchback with the power and performance of the well-loved Honda Civic. There is a current Civic hatchback, but it's restricted from the American market and this new version will be exported worldwide. Although it's not in production in America just yet, the Civic Hatchback Prototype was recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, and needless to say, we're impressed at Honda East and we think you will be too! Let's take a look to see what the 2017 Civic hatchback in Cincinnati will be like.

 2017_Civic_Hatchback_in_Cincinnati.jpg

The first thing you'll notice is the styling. It has more of a 4-door look than the current model, making it have a sports-utility feel. The body is almost completely covering the wheel base and the body style is overall more sporty and bold. Civic designer Daisuke Tsutamori wanted to create a car that would shock the Honda buyer. ‘We wanted to shock our customers and move them away from traditional evolutionary styling,’ says Tsutamori.

This new Civic is expected to get at least 300 horsepower, staying competitive in the market, with a 2.0-liter turbo, 6-speed manual transmission and adaptive dampers. The styling alone had us hooked, but it's clear that this is going to be more than just a pretty car. The performance will be up to par.

Now that you're hyped up about this new car, when will the production of the 2017 Civic hatchback in Cincinnati begin? Although no one at Honda East is 100% sure when it will be on sale officially, our best guess is that Honda will unveil that date sometime mid-year. Until then, read more about the new Civic hatchback online or check out your current Civic options on our Honda East site!
